For 2024, the Palm Springs Hospitality Association (PSHA) Board consists of 25 members from small, medium and large hotels; attractions; restaurants; retail; vacation home rentals and the associate category of membership.  Additionally, our one Honorary Board Member is Tony Bruggemans formerly of LeVallauris.

Board Meetings are held the 2nd Thursday of every month, DARK in August and December of every year.  Members are welcome to attend, but must reserve a seat 1 week prior to the meeting.  Meetings are usually held at different hotels or restaurants each month, so members must contact us for the location.  The cost to attend the Board of Director's Luncheon/Meeting is $35.  During COVID, meetings are via Zoom and are free for members to attend.

MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS

PSHA Members receive information on issues that are of interest to the hospitality industry; are invited to attend our monthly educational meetings and participate in PSHA events. All members are listed on the PSHA website with a link to their business website.

Our member benefits include, but are not limited to, the following:

Monthly Luncheons:

        • Networking opportunities with other members/guests/city and valley-wide attendees.
        • A one-time opportunity for new members to speak for two minutes to discuss their business.
        • At every luncheon members are asked to introduce themselves and give a 15 second description of their business or updating members on “news as it relates to their business”.
        • Informative speakers with information on timely topics relating to the hospitality industry as well as city and other agencies’ news.  Every year we have an update from the  Palm Springs Convention Center/ Palm Springs Bureau of Tourism and the Greater Palm Springs Convention & Visitors Bureau.  In 2019, some of the speakers included Cal State San Bernardino Palm Desert Campus' new Hospitality Program, the upcoming College of the Desert Palm Desert Campus,  a Downtown Development Update, a Cannabis Update and a Plaza Theatre Update.  Previous speakers have included: the Mayor, City Manager, Fire Chief, Fire Marshall, Chairman of Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians, CVAG, CVEP, Salton Sea, California Tourism Association, Sacramento Legislative Update, Riverside County Update, Harold Matzner from the Palm Springs International Film Festival and Goldenvoice for Coachella & Stagecoach.  We have also heard various expert speakers on OSHA, ADA Issues, Hotel/Restaurant Insurance Issues, Employment Law Issues for businesses, the ABC, programs available through the County’s Workforce Development Agency, Cyber Security and more.
        • Display table for members to display materials relevant to their business.
        • Associate members can be the "Official Luncheon Sponsor" and "Featured Member" for the month on PSHA's website for an additional fee of $100 (not including lunch) which includes the opportunity to make a 5 minute presentation to the members. Official Luncheon
        • Sponsors are listed on the Luncheon Invitation and presented as the Luncheon Sponsor at the event.**

Discounts:

PSHA members enjoy discounts from other member businesses, offered through the "PSHA Member Discount Program".

Website:

All members are listed on the PSHA website which includes all contact information along with a description of the member business.

Representation: 

PSHA represents its members on issues relating to the Hospitality Industry, including not only representatives on pertinent boards and commissions, but also at Council Meetings and other Government and/or local meetings.

Informative Alerts:

PSHA members are notified via e-mail of important City, County & State information as well as upcoming events, meetings and forums, sponsored by other organizations, which are pertinent to our members.  (Ex: Convention Center Groups, including schedules for meetings and ‘free’ time for attendees for meals and entertainment.)

** Non-Members can be an Official Luncheon Sponsor for fee of $350 (not including lunch) and make a 5 minute presentation to the members at the luncheon.  As mentioned above, PSHA members pay $100 and are also included as the "Featured Member" on PSHA's website for the month.  Official Luncheon Sponsors are listed on the Luncheon Invitation and presented as the Sponsor at the Luncheon/Zoom Meeting.
